We know making the decision to enter recovery treatment can be daunting. We are here to help you understand the options available to you and answer questions about our facility you may have. 

Q: IS THERE A WAIT LIST?
Our wait list is constantly fluctuating, we operate an ongoing admissions process. 

Q: DOES MEDICAL INSURANCE PAY FOR TREATMENT?
Many private insurance companies will cover the cost for addiction treatment. You will need to contact your provider to determine if they will cover the fee.

Q: DO YOU ACCEPT METHADONE OR SUBOXONE?
We do accept clients currently utilizing Methadone or Suboxone.

Q: WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION?
Abstinence from mood altering substances for 72 hours, along with a drug screening test prior to entering residency.

Q: WHAT CAN I BRING WITH ME?
To help you prepare for you stay with us we have complied an admissions check list. You can find a list of items you can bring here

Q: WHAT CAN I NOT BRING WITH ME?
No drugs, alcohol or an illegal substances. No sexually explicit images, movies or books (including electronic form – cell phones, flash drives, laptops etc..) No personal furniture, small appliances, tools. No pets. No e-cigarettes or vapes. Vaping is prohibited on site.

Q: HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO STAY?
Active treatment is 3 months. A typical stay for a client is between 6 – 12 months.

Q: DO I HAVE TO LIVE ON SITE TO BE PART OF THE SIMON HOUSE PROGRAM?
Yes. This is a residential program. You must live in residence while participating in the program.

Q: AM I ALLOWED TO WORK WHILE PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVE TREATMENT?
No. Active Treatment is a full time treatment program.

Q: AM I ALLOWED OFF SIMON HOUSE PROPERTY?
You are permitted to come and go as you please when not in program. You are required to be back on property before curfew at 11pm.

Q: WHAT IF I CAN’T COVER THE COST OF TREATMENT?
You may qualify for Social Assistance or Employment Insurance. Some employers will cover fees associated with a recovery program.

Q: CAN I MAKE PHONE CALLS OR HAVE VISITORS?
Phone calls are permitted during scheduled times. Visitors are welcome on site weekdays from 7pm-10pm, and on weekends from 10am-10pm.

Q: WILL I GET TO KEEP MY CELL PHONE WITH ME?
New clients are not permitted to use their cell phone for the first 4 weeks of the program, after this time, cell phones will be kept in the office and available to clients from 7pm- 11pm.

Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT SIMON HOUSE?
We have 3 buildings on site, that house 57 men.
